Starbucks is adding a new gig to its workforce in order to keep pace with demand for its coffee, as it expands the range of jobs it has available.
The coffee giant announced on Thursday that it’s adding a job in a customer service position to its roster, adding to the nearly 1,200 jobs it’s hiring for at its US stores.
Starbucks has been a top employer of low-income Americans, especially for its employees who are paid less than $15 an hour.
However, Starbucks is looking to attract a broader range of workers, as part of its plan to help the company increase profits in the years ahead.
Starbuck has also opened stores in other cities across the US, including Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, DC.
